The United States Embassy in Ankara, Türkiye has been recognized by the Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Awards as the only winner in the Government Buildings category.
The building design offers a strong presence for the new Embassy, balancing transparency and openness with security.

The new U.S. Consulate General Nogales, Mexico, has won a 2025 Design Award in the Architecture category from the Washington, D.C. chapter of the AIA. Congratulations to Ennead Architects and the entire project team on this remarkable accomplishment! We are proud to have served as the lead interior designer for the new U.S. Embassy in Ankara. Designed by Ennead Architects in collaboration with a talented group of consultants, including Spacesmith as interior architect, the project was developed for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO).
Spacesmith to Lead Renovation for One and Two United Nations Plaza
Mayor Adams, Governor Hochul, and United Nations Development Corporation Announce $500 Million Development Plan for United Nations Plaza. The architect for the project is Spacesmith; the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineer is Cosentini Associates; and the construction manager is Turner Construction Company.
