Graff
Manhasset, NY
A Fine Diamond Jewelry Store
Spacesmith served as owner’s representative and executive architect for the build-out of a new boutique for repeat client Graff at Americana Manhasset, establishing the brand’s first location on Long Island’s North Shore.
In close collaboration with Graff’s in-house design team, Spacesmith implemented the brand’s global standards while coordinating local code compliance, constructability, and delivery. The interior was realized as a fully prefabricated box-in-box system—fabricated and pre-assembled in China, then shipped to the United States for installation—accelerating the schedule while maintaining rigorous quality control. Because the components required millimeter-level tolerances and permitted no field adjustments, Spacesmith conducted 3D laser scans to verify floor and ceiling conditions prior to installation.
The storefront is clad in travertine with champagne-gold detailing, with glazing and entry doors replaced within their original openings to maintain contextual continuity while reinforcing Graff’s material language. Inside, sequence of curved spaces guides visitors from entry to the primary showroom.
A library-like threshold with gold-flecked carpeting and coordinated wallcovering creates an immersive transition into the brand environment. Curved perimeter walls integrate open shelving and green lacquered panels, unified by continuous cove lighting that emphasizes the fluid geometry of the room.
The showroom centers on a round bridal showcase in white veneer with champagne trim, illuminated by layered halo lighting. The space is enveloped in Graff’s signature celadon palette, with custom carpeting that echoes the circular geometry of the central display layered over limestone and celadon tile flooring. Along the perimeter, interlocking tiles form a pattern derived from Graff’s scalloped iconography, reinforcing brand identity.
Throughout the boutique, no two curved wall panels are identical. Framed wall sections alternate with recessed illuminated niches housing glass display vitrines with gold-inlaid, chiseled back panels and concealed cove lighting, creating a precise yet continuous presentation system that balances craftsmanship, clarity, and spatial continuity.
