Sonali Mistry
Design is a powerful tool for inclusion—it creates space for connection, awareness, and representation.
Sonali approaches architecture with a curiosity rooted in human experience. A lifelong maker with a sharp eye for design, she was drawn to the field early on—building miniature homes and furniture for her dolls out of recycled materials. Today, she brings that same creative drive to her work at Spacesmith, where she finds meaning in designing spaces that shape interactions and foster connection.
A recent graduate of Syracuse University’s School of Architecture, Sonali’s academic journey was as purposeful as it was creative. She served as president of NOMAS and co-founded the first South Asian sorority on campus—experiences that continue to inform her passion for cultural representation and equity in design.
Whether painting, crafting, or designing, Sonali brings thoughtfulness, clarity, and care to everything she creates.
