Magdalena Zink

Building with intention means designing only what is truly necessary—and ensuring it lasts.

Every project Magdalena undertakes reflects her commitment to sustainability and adaptive reuse. Guided by circular design principles, she approaches architecture with intention, focusing on what is truly necessary for people to thrive. She believes that spaces should be healthy, resource-conscious, and designed to be utilized for generations.

Magdalena holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University, where her thesis on material reuse sparked a lasting dedication to sustainable practice. She deepened this focus in Copenhagen with GXN’s Circular Design Lab, researching cradle-to-cradle and zero-waste strategies that continue to shape her work today.

She approaches the profession with a deep respect for the role buildings play in shaping city life. Balancing big-picture vision with meticulous attention to detail, Magdalena clearly guides her projects toward thoughtful, resilient solutions.

Magdalena is an active member of CR0WD (Circularity, Reuse, Zero Waste Development) and RECLAIM-NYC, where she contributes to white papers and outreach efforts aimed at advancing a circular construction economy. She also participates in the AIA Committee on the Environment and in Ridgewood Rides, a community advocacy and social bike riding group promoting safer streets and micromobility whilst exploring the city.
