Marketing Director

Kristen Persinos

I am passionate about incorporating more sustainable interventions into our designs and working with clients whose missions serve the greater good.

Since joining the firm in 2011, Kristen Persinos has been instrumental in pursuing, and earning, several projects with clients whose missions align with her personal values: serving the community and respecting the environment.

Early on in her tenure, she helped win a competitive contract with the New York City Department of Design + Construction, encompassing several projects like the Staten Island Family Justice Center and the Midwood Branch Library. More recently, she led the charge in securing an ongoing contract with the General Services Administration, which requires that all projects target, at minimum, LEED Gold certification.

With a background in graphic and performing arts, Kristen enjoys crafting narratives that tell the stories of the firm’s people, processes, and projects. She takes a human-first approach to every undertaking and stays grounded through meditative practices in the realms of music, gardening, and yoga. Her resulting level-headed nature is evident throughout her work, whether she’s tracking project data or developing strategy in her leadership role on Spacesmith’s marketing committee.
