At its best, the practice of architecture brings joy, permanence, and functionality to our world.

Gabrielle Kupfer AIA is an associate with extensive experience as a visual artist, display and set designer, and architect. She thrives on collaboration, especially when driven by a clear purpose and mission. Her process involves careful consideration of experience, materials, and functionality to create beautiful solutions that meet client needs. During her time at Spacesmith, Gabrielle has taken the lead on projects such as the Jessica McCormack store renovation, the design and construction of the flagship CADAR store, Graff stores in Chicago and San Francisco, and several office upgrades for BlackRock. She also contributed to two projects for foreign missions to the UN here in New York City.

Gabrielle holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the California College of the Arts and a Master of Architecture from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Her studies in creative, hands-on programs led her to New York, where she worked as a display artist. She continued her education with a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Pratt Institute, which deepened her appreciation for the permanence, rigor, and sustainability of architectural practice and the people who design and create spaces.
