The Green New Deal – What Building Owners and Developers Need to Know

Spacesmith and Davis Brody Bond will co-host an informative presentation and discussion on New York City’s Local Law 97, the most ambitious climate legislation for buildings enacted by any city in the world. Part of New York City’s Climate Mobilization Act, Local Law 97 will affect 50,000 buildings, and places them on a path to meet the city’s goal to reduce carbon emissions 80 percent by 2050.

Join The Design School at ASU for a special lecture on “The Bridge Space” by Jane Smith. The students are from the Professional Practice courses in both the Master of Architecture and Master of Interior Architecture programs. Jane will discuss her path to architecture school and beyond.

Jane Smith, FAIA, IIDA, is the founding partner of Spacesmith LLP, a NYC based certified woman-owned architecture, planning and interior design firm. In addition to an extensive and diverse range of clients, Jane maintains leadership roles in architectural organizations. Since 2005, Spacesmith has been honored as one of the top 200 “Giants of Design” in the US by Interior Design Magazine.
