Elisabeth Post-Marner
AIA, LEED AP, WELL AP

The most important thing is that we act and say something on every project to advance qualities of health, sustainability, and productivity.

Elisabeth’s focus on healthy spaces with reduced ecological footprints and improved indoor comfort are reflected in both her professional and personal lives. Her sustainable work for Spacesmith is complemented by her own home, a Passive House that she designed with her husband to meet stringent standards for energy efficiency. A registered architect who has been designing corporate interiors for more than 30 years, she has also spent much of her career exploring alternative workplace strategies to enhance productivity and collaboration.

Concepts take center stage in Elisabeth’s designs, which have earned awards from the AIA and United States Green Building Council. For the new headquarters for MarketAxess, an international fintech firm, she developed the interiors around the idea of warped speed, alluding to progressive software design. Meanwhile, she drew inspiration from libraries in the new reception for Abrams Brooks to pay homage to the company’s thousands of first-edition art books. She uses architectural details, finishes, and spatial relationships to support her concepts, leading to cohesive designs with deeper meanings.

Elisabeth is an advisor to Spacesmith’s Sustainability committee and an active member of CoreNet Global’s Sustainability Committee. She expands her knowledge through continuing education courses on sustainability and wellness as they relate to architecture.
