Elena Adams

Architectural design is at its best when the spaces that shape our physical world inspire how we move through them - with intention, curiosity, and the ability to continuously evolve.

Elena Adams came to architecture through observation, an instinctive draw to the built environment that revealed itself over time. After years in publishing, she noticed a pattern in her travels: her camera roll filled with images of buildings and their details, each capturing the logic and character of vernacular architecture. That curiosity ultimately led her to pursue design more directly.

She earned her Master of Architecture from Pratt Institute and began her career in Nantucket, working across residential and commercial projects. There, she developed fluency in design tools while navigating client relationships and the complexities of a tightly regulated historic context, sharpening her ability to introduce contemporary programmatic needs without compromising existing character.

Across her work, Elena maintains a focus on how buildings evolve, balancing preservation with change and aligning design decisions with a broader commitment to sustainability.
