French Luxury Menswear

Spacesmith designed French menswear company Cremieux’s first boutique in Manhattan. Located in a landmarked building in Soho, the design marries the brand’s classic sporting style with the neighborhood’s urban chic.

The challenge was to open up the two-story, 800 sf space without compromising the structural integrity of the building. Spacesmith accomplished this by enlarging the windows to increase the amount of natural daylight infiltration. In addition, the dividing walls of the stairway were replaced with glass to further enhance light penetration and provide an open view from the street. Original brick was left exposed, lending warmth and character to the space – a beautiful compliment to the pure white walls.

A clean, contemporary check out area sits in front of a vintage tin wall that extends through the second floor, integrating the two levels. Dressing rooms on each floor are stacked on top of each other to create a tower like shape in the vertical space.

The Spacesmith design perfectly fits our project requirements. We want to expands the brand’s retail presence utilizing this established design model.
