We have observed that the promotion of well-being in the workplace is a key component of productivity and success in organizations. This observation aligns with our own goal to promote comfort, happiness, and health through design. Through a methodology that marries function, design, sustainability, and ergonomics with cost and scheduling objectives, we are able to build spaces that support the organization, its employees, and visitors.

Our methodology to achieve this is as follows:

Fast and Agile Communication

We recognize that communication between leadership and employees fosters creativity and productivity. We look for opportunities to facilitate various types of collaboration space in our designs.

Culture and Brand

Brand and culture is our departure point when designing. For us designing to brand is much more than using graphics; references both literal (graphics and color), to the more abstract (architectural spaces that reflect movement or speed). We also look to the client’s culture of confidence, creativity, and collaboration to inform the plan, FF&E, and overall design.

Online and offline are no longer discernible spaces. One must design elegant, intuitive customer experiences to bridge the worlds of tech, wholesale, and retail. Whether it be bringing a colleague into a meeting via video conferencing or a technology partnership with wholesale marketplace that allows you to present your collections to global buyers using virtual reality.

Sustainable design is integral to our practice. Through our credentials as LEED experts and our understanding of the costs related to the various points that can be accrued through the LEED process, we have developed a series of best practices that are achievable, affordable, and are adopted on all projects whether or not the client is pursuing LEED certification.

The WELL-Building Standard

This standard complements sustainability practices and focuses on how to provide comfort for individual users. Examples of this are providing products that are environmentally healthy, environmental controls that can be adjusted individually, creation of mindful eating spaces, biophilic interior elements, and circadian lighting design.

Flexibility and Designing for Growth

Essential to design excellence is the proactive planning for future growth in a manner that is readily achievable at minimal cost and disruption while maintaining the design intent.

Ergonomics and Movement

Ergonomics, the study of people’s efficiency in their work environment, are central to our design philosophy. Whether it be by stimulating interconnecting stair use, adjustable height standing desks, or encouraging commuting via bicycle by providing safe storage, changing rooms, and showers, we are passionate about thoughtful planning that activates spaces and compels movement, while being accessible and comfortable for everyone.
