We are looking to fill the following position:
Junior Designer - NYC Office
Spacesmith is seeking a talented and self-motivated candidate for a key position as a Junior Designer to start as soon as possible. We are a group of dynamic professionals who foster a vibrant and creative culture with opportunity for professional growth, involvement in varied project types and phases of the design process.
The ideal candidate will have experience in various stages of design and development and possess basic knowledge of architecture and/or interior design drawing terminology and conventions. They will also have good time management and organization skills combined with a high level of design and technical ability. The position requires the ability to communicate efficiently and collaborate in an interdisciplinary, deadline-driven atmosphere. They must be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, be a self-starter and acknowledge when additional input is needed.
Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design
0 - 3 years of experience in various phases of design, experience in workplace and/or retail encouraged.
Proficiency in Revit
Proficiency in Adobe Suites and other necessary technical tools for the project
Possess a basic understanding of construction and furniture specifications
Possess a basic knowledge of construction codes and barrier free design standards
Strong organizational, collaboration and communication skills
Legally eligible to work in the Unites States with proficiency in the English language
