When it came time to renew their lease and expand the Midtown New York headquarters, the IRC had a clear vision - to upgrade the work environment, to improve workflow and to "show the face of the IRC"—to feel a connection with the work that IRC does for refugees worldwide each and every day. The overall planning improved collaboration, communication and productivity between the various teams. Simple, organic and cost effective materials transformed the space from a tired, overcrowded, generic office into a billboard for IRC. Natural light, recycled materials and energy efficient systems were sensitive solutions energize work environment. Vivid photographs of refugees further display IRC's global dedication.
